China: 24 Provinces/ Cities Raised Minimum Wage Standard Since the Beginning of This Year


Starting from Sep 1, 2013, Hubei Province raised its minimum wage standard. Based on analysis, up to Sep 1, 2013, 24 areas of whole country have raised their local minimum wage standard successively. For the absolute amount number, Shanghai has the highest one, reaching to RMB 1620, while for the hourly rate, Beijing and Xinjiang have the highest one, reaching to RMB15.2 both. 

Up to now, since the beginning of 2013, totally 24 areas in the whole coutry, including Shanghai, Guangdong, Tianjin, Zhejiang, Beijing, Shandong, Shanxi, He’nan, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Shenzhen, Gansu, Shanxi, Guizhou, Xinjiang, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Liaoning, Ningxia, Jilin, Yunnan, Anhui, Fujian and Hubei have raised their local minimum wage standard.
